I am the Master of the Grill! MuwHaHa! Not so long ago in our household, I recall there being distinct roles for who prepared the stove/oven meals and who did the grilling! The roles have recently disappeared and I now have not only learned how to grill but I also learned that timing is everything! It's true! Jake better watch out – we may need to have a grill off! Tonight for dinner I was a lean, mean, grilling machine!
I am the world’s biggest sucker for a Patty Melt! I can pass on a burger any day for a salad, but mention a Patty Melt and I can’t say no! The combination of rye bread, grilled onions, and melty swiss cheese is enough to make me weak in the knees. Enter watering mouth!
As a side I decided to whip up a “new” and improved baked potato! I started by microwaving two potatoes (9 minutes).
Then I cut them in half and sliced them into cubes, without cutting through the skin.
Next, I seasoned them with spray butter and Parmesan.
Place under broiler for 10 minutes or until golden brown!
Jake raved about these! A great twist on the boring baked potato (Thanks, IowaGirlEats).
